No offense Santa you know I love you but, come on give Thanksgiving a fighting chance. Every year the joys of the Holiday Shopping Season are seriously encroaching into November territory, sometimes even oozing into October. Thanksgiving is my favorite Holiday of all, it’s just about being together eating food, then eating even more food until you feel like a balloon in the Macy’s Parade, and of course Football. No present pressures, wrapping paper shortages, tangled tape or tree wrestling, if you are lucky enough it’s just being with people you love…

The cartoon is so true. Thanksgiving is such a lovely day to spend with family and friends. I saw Christmas and Halloween side by side in several stores. Christmas seems to be more and more about shopping and the true spirit of the day is being lost.

I saw my first holiday commercial 2 full weeks ago and have vowed not to buy that company’s products until January. (Granted, I don;t think I’ve bought anything from them in years but that’s not the point.) Like you, I love everything about Thanksgiving, more so than any other holiday.
