Blueberry Martini…

Sensing a theme here? Unintentionally, there seems to be a streak of blueberry related recipes, and notes this week. I do love blueberries, so without further ado I present a Thirsty Thursday recipe for a blueberry martini. Normally fresh blueberries skewered onto a toothpick are a garnish, but they are ridiculously expensive fresh right now. Normally I substitute frozen for fresh all the time but, I have frozen wild blueberries which are just too small. So to dress it up a bit, I used sanding sugar on the rim of the glass. If you are using the sugar as a garnish simply rub the lime around the glass and then press the glass in the sugar.

3 ozs Blueberry Vodka
1 oz Triple Sec
3 drops Blue Curacao
ice
Blue sanding sugar (optional)
Blueberries on a toothpick (in season)

Combine the vodka, triple sec and blue curacao in cocktail shaker with a handful of ice, shake well, strain into the prepared glass and enjoy!
